Faroe Islands: Custom-built container with internal staircase.
Developed as an extension to an existing container-based salmon slaughterhouse, DC-Supply A/S – Danish Container Supply has now supplemented the production facilities for a customer in the Faroe Islands. This time, we have built and delivered a unique container solution in two stories with an internal spiral staircase.
The new extension functions as an efficient entrance module to the production facilities in the salmon slaughterhouse. Here, the employees enter the ground floor, where they can remove footwear and change into work clothes before ascending the staircase into the production environment.
Efficient entrance modules for production space
The two-story container solution with a built-in internal staircase serves as entrance modules for the personnel of a previously delivered slaughterhouse container, located on the first floor. Besides the internal spiral staircase providing access between the floors, the container includes a drying cabinet, washing machine, tumble dryer, and zone division to create a more organised workspace.
The staff enters through the entrance on the ground floor, where there is space for depositing footwear. Here, they also find a hand wash basin as well as a drying cabinet. They then proceed up the stairs to the first floor, where there are washing and drying facilities for work clothes as well as direct access into the production area. At the end of the workday, employees leaving the production area can place their soiled work clothes directly into the washing machine before going down to change into their own clothes. On the first floor, there are also hand wash basins and two drying cabinets. Both on the ground floor and the first floor, there are floor drains, allowing for easy cleaning of the areas with optimal hygiene in focus.
From Aalborg to the Faroe Islands in a short time
At DC-Supply A/S, we have collaborated with customers in the Faroe Islands for many years, delivering custom-built container solutions for various applications, both for residential and industrial production purposes. We build all solutions in our in-house production facility at our headquarters in Nørresundby, near Aalborg, and from there, the finished container is sent to the Faroe Islands – and it can happen very quickly! In this case, the custom-built container with the internal staircase solution was completed at our facility on a Friday evening around 6 pm – and it was ready for use by the customer in the Faroe Islands on Monday morning.
The ability to deliver custom-built containers quickly and efficiently is part of our commitment to supporting our customers’ production processes. At DC-Supply A/S, we are dedicated to creating bespoke container solutions that match and meet our customers’ requirements and needs, including within the industrial and production sectors.
