The solution is based on insulated standard 20-foot ISO containers with CSC approval. Delivery time from approved drawings until handoff, was only 12 weeks.

Container accommodation optimised for Greenlandic conditions and regulations
This custom built container solution comfortably housing 8 people, is built on a steel frame to accommodate for any displacements that may happen in the underground. The set-up is designed around two levels, and comes equipped with an external staircase and stair landing.
The containers are insulated specifically for the sometimes harsh Greenlandic conditions, ensuring that the accommodation stays comfortable even in very cold weather. The windows are maintenance-free white PVC windows with double glazing, and also come with window grilles and ventilation. The exterior doors are insulated galvanised steel. Heating is supplied from an oil furnace (hot water radiators with thermostat). The client chose to install his own water tank for heat and consumable water as well as his own supply-connection.
Inside, the custom-built living space in each container is comprised of two separate bedrooms, a common kitchen- and living room area, as well as a shared toilet and bath. Thus allowing ample space for socialising yet at the same time, allowing privacy when needed.
